Department is a part of the organization hierarchy to help classify operational categories
Summary
Create a Facility before adding a new Department, at least one department must be defined.
A Department represents an area or a grouping of cells/machines. It must belong to a Facility within your organization. Department settings will override Company and Facility settings and create defaults for cells/machines. Any setting not configured at the Department level will be taken from the Facility or Company hierarchy level.
It is helpful, but not required to have Downtime, Scrap, and No Work codes, including Process Data Metrics entered before creating a new Department.
