Ignore Quality Option Calculating OEE without Quality
There is an option on both the Cell/Machine record and part record that will allow you to ignore quality in the OEE calculation. This allows for the use of OEE when you don't want to track quality.
You will typically use this option when ignoring performance as well.
Turning on both Ignore Performance and Ignore Quality turns OEE into an availability calculation.
Below are the rules on how ignore quality works:
- If ignore quality is true, quality for that part is 100% regardless of actual scrap entered
- Ignore quality setting follows the same hierarchy as cycle time, starting from part and then cell.
