      Calculations in Tag Mapping

      Perform mathematical calculations on incoming tags.

      Overview

      Tag mapping allows you to map data coming through Mingo. This feature gives you the ability to perform mathematical calculations on incoming tags. A great use for this feature is unit conversions. For example, if the tag is in feet, but you want to report it in inches.

      Process

      1. On the Administration Tab, [click] on Cells/Machines.
      2. Select the Cell/Machine you want to edit.
      3. On the Tag Mappings Tab, Add Mapping.

        • Event Type: it has to be a numerical value (quantity, process data, scrap). 
        • Tag Name: tag where the value is stored.
        • Value Source: choose calculation.
        • Formula: unit conversion formula that will be applied to the tag.
      4. [Click] Confirm.
